Speak to the Trustees

Prior to the formation of Northern Ireland many schools fell under the control of different church denominations. As part of the agreement to pass control of these schools to the State the position of Trustee Governor was created.

In many schools the Trustee Governors will be clergymen who are appointed automatically to the Board of Governors when they take up their position of the minister of one of the school's local churches. This position was created to specifically protect the Christian ethos that has always existed in many of our schools.

Trustee Governers who are clergymen should be at the forefront of stopping the new RSE Currriculum from being adopted in their school. That is why it is so important that we prewarn them of what is coming.
